Anne Douglas:

Anne has been practicing Yoga and Meditation for approximately 27 years, and teaching for 20 years. Anne is certified to teach both Kripalu (500 hour; Senior Level Certification) and Astanga Yoga and has studied many other lineages including Iyengar and Bikrams Yoga. Anne is also a certified as a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist (1991), Holistic Lifestyle Coach (1990), and Reiki Master (1995). She has been drawing upon these skills to facilitate personal growth workshops for the past 20 years. Her compassionate heart, gentle humor and grounded intellect create fertile ground for self-study and well being.

Amanda Ings:

Yoga found Amanda in 2003 while in Montreal at a Bikram Yoga Studio. It gently took her hand and led her on a journey that would promise to change her life, and the way she looked at the world. Now, seven years later, after studying with Mary-Jo Fetterly under Trinity Yoga Inc., she comes to class to hold space for the unfolding of ourselves into all that we already are. Her teaching style is slightly ‘renegade’, as it embodies her experience in Hatha, Anusara, Yoga Therapy, AcroYoga, Ashtanga, Bikram and Flow Yoga. Outside of the studio, Amanda is deeply motivated by the Yoga of children, and works with developmentally challenged children in the Bow Valley and at the Gaia Clinic.

Brea Johnson

Breanna Johnson:

Brea discovered yoga in 1999 and has been teaching yoga since 2003. Over the years she has continued her studies from respected teachers in the US, Canada and India. Brea’s passion for yoga led her to creating and running a successful yoga studio in Edmonton and continues to lead numerous workshops and retreats throughout Canada, the US and Costa Rica. Known for her warm and engaging teaching style, Brea has worked with a variety of people from NHL hockey players, overworked business leaders, expectant mothers and more; helping them to de-stress, find balance and improved health. Her inspiration for teaching yoga is to connect with the heart, often with laughter and playfulness and always with a clear intention of sharing the joy and transformation that yoga can bring.

Chandra Bailey:

I have been teaching yoga for the past 6 years in central Alberta. My background is a Phys.ED Degree in Athletic TRaining and I am certified through the Trinity Yoga Program and a RYT through Yoga Alliance. I have recently trained under Parvathi Nanda Nath in Sud Tyrol Italy in the Kaula Yoga tradition which is a Tantra based lineage. My focus is cultivating a sense of play and exploration within the body while facilitating my students connection to their own inner teacher. Providing a safe space to allow the peeling away of physical and mental layers that cloud the connection to spirit and soul. I have worked with beginners, teens, professional athletes, and advanced yogis alike. I teach a vinyasa flow class that will challenge you physically while inviting space and time for reflection of spirit and self. My passion for music and the creative arts inspires my classes as well.

Julie

Julie Seibt:

With YTT certification in Anahata Yoga, and teacher training with Sarah Powers (Yin Yoga) and Susi Hatley-Aldous (Yoga Therapy) , Julie Seibt compassionately guides private clients and group participants out of pain or "stuckness" and into ease - on and off the mat. As an Asian Bio-Energetic Therapist, Master Reiki Teacher, and Thai Massage Therapist, Julie brings a holistic, mindful approach to movement. In this easeful - not always easy – practice, Julie infuses yoga asana with principals of kinesiology and mindfulness for a therapeutic style of movement where students adapt classic yoga poses to their bodies. By becoming ‘quiet’ on the mat, and allowing a deep sense of curiosity, students listen and respond to what their body asks for, moment to moment. A ‘less is more’ approach allows for deep and sustainable openings and strength.

Julie

Henri Ferguson:

Yoga has been a defining influence in Henri Ferguson's life for 27 years. That led to teacher training with Sandra Sammartino from Kairos Yoga Centre in White Rock, BC as well as Sapta Yoga teacher training with Sushil Bhattacharya in Nepal. Henri personifies his values and beliefs; taking his life experience and understanding of yogic and Zen philosophy into each class to facilitate student's efforts toward self realization and empowerment. His eclectic and holistic style of yoga is energetic and healing, with emphasis on core strength, flexibility and mindfulness. Henri is a registered teacher (RYT 500) with the Yoga Alliance and Program Director of the Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training course.
